The poster is based on the style of an early 1900s German theatre poster and is etched with ink as a play on the name Gods Of Ink. The angel is passing the reaper a star who is sat within a moon above the Frankfurt skyline to the lower right corner. The reapers robe becomes a ghost of a horse in the lower left corner to represent 2026 the year of the horse.
Skulls and female figures have always been staple subjects in tattoo history, and they’re what I’ve always been most drawn to. The reaper represents growth, the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. It also serve’s a reminder to live in the moment, as time is always fleeting.
That’s why it felt like the right fit for this poster—something everyone can relate to.
